I am currently editing the first book on Ian Hamilton Finlay foregrounding the voices of his collaborators: the many skilled artists and artisans who helped him realise his creative vision, from poets to photographers, graphic designers to gallerists, gardeners, and stonemasons. Entitled Crafting Arcadia: On Collaborating with Ian Hamilton Finlay, my book will be a beautifully presented hardback published by Lund Humphries.
Three of Finlay’s prolific and talented collaborators, the ceramic and lettering artist Julie Farthing, photographer Robin Gillanders, and graphic artist Gary Hincks, have donated a series of works to drum up support for the book. I am truly grateful to Julie, Robin, and Gary for their generosity. Oo Press is managing the sale and will donate all profits to publication costs for Crafting Arcadia.
